Caring for Others Together is the heart of Missions & Outreach at St. Timothy.
We believe that we ALL are called by God to take the good news and love of Christ outside church walls to a hurting world. Simple acts of kindness can open all of our hearts to the love of Christ, both in those serving and those being served.
Our purpose is to be a bridge, assisting in relationally connecting community and global needs and opportunities for with our members and other resources.
We are a team with an open invitation to come and connect. Our goal is to build missional community where we can serve others together, for lasting impact.
We invite you to join us in our mission to care for our neighbors together through community partnership, volunteer opportunities and service projects to the poor and vulnerable.

The Missions & Outreach Team has five conveniently located donation bins around the church campus for members to drop of items currently being collected. Bulletin announcements, take-home flyers and signs beside the donation bins keep members informed of current projects.

Boots on The Ground: A team of individuals who can provide physical assistance to those in need. Moving furniture, clearing trees, building fences, minor household and auto repairs are a few examples of projects for this team. To join contact Hillary Bass: Hillary.missions@gmail.com
Care Notes: This team writes monthly notes of encouragement and kindness to local nursing homes and assisted-living facilities, as well as for our outreach projects. Comment suggestions are given. A wonderful way to serve in missions from home. Contact Darlene Melancon: darlenemelancon@gmail.com

Feed My Sheep: A St. Timothy ministry in partnership with the Samaritan Center. Food and hygiene products for the food bank can be dropped off in our multiple donation boxes around the church. Grace Garden: Our growing garden is run by a team of volunteers and supplies fresh, organic fruits and vegetables for the clients of the Samaritan Center. Contact Diane Combs: dianewcombs@yahoo.com
Manna Bags: We collect and assemble emergency food and hygiene items into bags to deliver to St. Mark’s homeless ministry and to others in need in times of crisis. We are looking for a small team who can head up quarterly projects. Contact Hillary Bass: Hillary.missions@gmail.com

Methodist Children’s Home of Greater New Orleans (Mandeville) (*Partner) www.Lmch.org
Part of the Louisiana Methodist Children and Family Services, the MCH provides residential care and for young boys, ages 7-14, who cannot live with their families, in foster care, or in group homes because of their significant emotional and behavioral needs. Through the donations of our members we provide monthly birthday and special event parties and activities, educational and personal supplies, toys, clothing and more, depending on their needs. The New Orleans Mission is a Christian Humanitarian Organization. They are dedicated to the rescue, recovery and re-engagement of people facing homelessness, addiction, human trafficking, or abuse. The New Orleans Missions also includes Lynhaven Retreat (women rescued from sex-trafficking and abuse) and Giving Hope Retreat (recovery for men) on the Northshore. This groups shows God’s love to the cancer patients at Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Center through hand-made knitted/crocheted items.
