CONGREGATIONAL CARE

Open Heart Ministry provides meals, cards, transportation, intercessory prayer and other services to families and individuals who are experiencing serious illness, have had a new baby, or a death in the family.

A Bereavement Food Ministry following a funeral service at St. Timothy is offered through the ministers.  At the request of the family, food is prepared for buffet service in the Family Life Center or the family’s home; the flowers & guest registry are transferred there.

Prayer Chain is part of the Open Heart Ministry.  Members of the Prayer Chain lift up concerns of our congregation and  our community.

Ronnie’s Life Ministry is a service to aid others in their time of need by prayer and writing letters of encouragement.  Inspiration for RLM came from a church member as her brother, Ronnie, faced his journey through cancer.  Anyone may add the name of one in need, write letters of encouragement or pray. Stephen Ministry is our life crisis ministry to those who are experiencing crisis due to hospitalization, retirement, financial setbacks, the loss of a loved one or other difficulties faced in life.  In preparation, Stephen Ministers have received 50 hours of training in areas such as dealing with feelings, crisis intervention, self-assertion and other topics.
